Deleting a Custom Component Version

Code Insight lets you delete custom versions for existing components only via the Components tab on the Global Component & License Lookup tab. When a custom version for a component is deleted or removed, all existing inventory items referenced the custom component version are updated with the Unknown version for the component.

To delete a custom version component, you need to access the Versions for <component> window from the Components tab on the Global Component & License Lookup tab.

Only users with the Library Manager role are permitted to delete custom versions for any component.

Once you open the Versions for <component> window, click the Delete Custom Version icon in the Action column for a custom version you want to delete. Note that the Delete Custom Version icon  is enabled only if the user assigned the Library Manager role.
