Project Inventory

The following enhancements to project Inventory are now available.

AI-Based License Curation Technique for Inventory Item​

Code Insight introduces a new button named Apply AI License in the Inventory Items pane on the Analysis Workbench. This enhancement enables users to automatically update inventory items, either those that do not have a license or those that have multiple (dual) licenses, using the AI-based license curation technique.

In this license curation technique, the AI-curated license data gets leverage from the Project Data Library (PDL) to intelligently determine the most appropriate license for each applicable inventory item.

When you click the Apply AI License button, Code Insight automatically assigns the most suitable license and updates the corresponding inventory name to reflect the newly applied license.

Dependency Hierarchy Support for Maven​

Code Insight now supports the dependency graph usage, to traverse the dependency hierarchy to the nth level, for inventory items generated from scanning Maven packages, in addition to those generated from scanning NPM, PyPI, and Gradle packages.
