Components and Licenses
The following enhancements to component and license information in the Code Insight Data Library are now available.
Distribution Type Field Enhancement
Starting in this release, the Distribution Type field has been enhanced with the new dropdown options to specify how an OSS or third-party component---associated with an inventory item---can be distributed within an organization's infrastructure. This enhancement allows users to specify whether the component is hosted within their organization's infrastructure for internal or external users.
The following new distribution options have been added to the Distribution Type dropdown list:
-
Hosted For Internal Use - The component is hosted within your organization's infrastructure for internal use only (for example, internal tools, development environments, or employee-facing applications).
-
Hosted For External Use - The component is hosted within your organization's infrastructure but accessible only to external users (for example, public-facing web applications, customer portals, or SAAS offerings).

Ability to Delete Custom Components and Custom Component Versions
Starting in this release, Code Insight allows you delete custom components and custom versions of any component by introducing the Delete Component and Delete Custom Version icons, respectively.
The Delete Component icon has been introduced only for custom components in the Actions column on the search results grid located under the search criteria in the Global Component & License Lookup > Components tab. Clicking the Delete Component icon allows you to delete a desired custom component.
The Delete Custom Version icon has been introduced only for custom versions of any component, in the Action column on the Versions for <Component> window.
To access the Delete Custom Version icon for any custom component version, the Versions for <Component> window must be opened by clicking the View Versions icon for a component on the search results grid under the search criteria in the Global Component & License Lookup > Components tab. Clicking the Delete Custom Version icon allows you to delete a desired custom version of a component.
